For founders, DevRel and growth teams

The conversations
worth your reply.

Scrollby learns your company from its website, then checks Hacker News every day. You get up to eight threads where a reply from you would help, ranked, with drafts written from your own facts.

7 days free, then $79/month. Card required. Cancel anytime.

  • Reads public posts only
  • You post. We never do.
  • Works without Slack
Example inbox for Acme, a fictional company: two ranked conversations, the first open with its draft reply.

Set it up once. Check it with your coffee.

  1. 01

    Start with your website.

Scrollby reads a handful of public pages and writes a short profile: what you sell, who it’s for and the facts it may use in replies. You fix anything that’s off.

  2. 02

    It checks every day.

At the time you pick, it reads Hacker News for mentions of you, people asking for a tool like yours and questions you can answer.

  3. 03

You get the few that matter.

Up to eight conversations land in Slack, ranked, each with a one-line reason and a reply drafted from your facts. Edit it, copy it, post it from your own account.

Every pick shows its work.

You always see why a conversation made the list, which of your facts the draft relies on and a link to the original. When we can’t back a reply with your facts, we leave it to you instead of guessing.

Example: a conversation with why it surfaced, the original post, a plain-text draft reply and the facts from your pricing page that it was written from.

Where your buyers already talk.

Scrollby reads public posts only, and shows you exactly what it checked each day.

  • Hacker News

Stories, Ask HN and the comment threads where tools get recommended.

  • Reddit

    Coming soon

Public posts across Reddit, wherever your problem comes up.

  • X

    Coming soon

Public posts and replies that mention you or the problem you solve.

  • LinkedIn

    Coming soon

Public posts from founders and operators in your space.

Coverage depends on what each platform makes public on a given day. If a source is limited, your inbox says so.

One message a day. In the channel you pick.

Your picks arrive in Slack at the time you choose, ranked, with a link to each draft. On a quiet day you hear nothing, unless you ask for a one-line note.

Example digest: 2 conversations worth a look, Tue 3 Nov. 2 of 8, 1 mentions Acme, 1 matches your topics. Each pick links to its draft in Scrollby.

Built to keep you credible.

  • You post, not us.

Scrollby never posts, likes or sends DMs from your accounts. Every reply leaves by your hand.

  • Facts, not filler.

Drafts only use facts you’ve approved, and they show which ones. No made-up numbers, customers or claims.

  • A few, not a feed.

Up to eight picks a day, ranked. A quiet day is a good day.

  • Every mention of your company, kept.

Mentions always come first, and every one stays in your inbox, even past eight.

One plan. $79 a month.

Everything is included: a daily check of Hacker News, the Slack digest, drafted replies and your full inbox. Try it free for 7 days.

Questions, answered.

Does Scrollby post for me?
No. Scrollby finds conversations and drafts replies. You decide what to post and post it from your own account.
Where does it look?
Hacker News. It only reads public posts, and your inbox shows which sources were checked each day. Reddit, X and LinkedIn are coming soon.
How does it decide what’s relevant?
It starts from your website and the profile you approve: what you do, who it’s for and the words people use for the problem you solve. You can change any of it in Settings.
Why only eight a day?
Because you have a company to run. Eight good conversations beat eighty maybes. Mentions of your company always come first, and every one stays in your inbox.
Will the drafts sound like a bot?
Drafts are short, written for each platform and only use facts you’ve approved. They’re a first draft, so make them yours.
What if nothing relevant comes up?
Then nothing lands in Slack, unless you turn on quiet-day notes. Some days you’ll see eight, some days none.
Do I need Slack?
No. Slack is the easiest way to get the digest, but everything is also in your web inbox.
What happens after the trial?
Your plan continues at $79/month unless you cancel. Cancel in Settings before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Export or delete everything from Settings at any time.
